User Content and Photo License Terms

← All legal documents

Version 1.0 · Effective: October 11, 2026.

These terms explain who owns the content you add to Stylium and what we may do with it. They form part of our Terms of Use.

1. What counts as User Content

Photos you upload, names and descriptions of pieces, tags you confirm or edit, outfits you save, notes, plans and trips, and any other material you add ("User Content"). AI-generated tags and suggestions created for you are treated as part of your User Content once saved to your account.

2. You keep ownership

You own your User Content (or keep whatever rights you had in it). SMC does not claim ownership.

3. The licence you give us

3.1 You grant Space Made Code LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, convert, analyse (including with the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy when you have given AI consent, and with the mandatory upload safety check), display and transmit your User Content, only to provide, secure, support and improve the Service for you and to comply with the law.

3.2 Limits: We do not sell your User Content, do not make it public, do not use it in advertising or marketing, and do not use it to train AI models (ours or our providers').

3.3 The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for: copies in backups until they expire (within [BACKUP RETENTION]); content we must keep to comply with the law or a valid legal request; and content needed to handle a dispute or enforcement action, for as long as needed.

3.4 You may sublicense to us only what you have the right to give. If community features are launched in the future, any public sharing will require a separate, explicit choice by you and updated terms.

4. Your promises

By uploading User Content you confirm that:

  • you own it or have all permissions needed (for example, you took the photo, or you have permission from the photographer);
  • if a person is visible, you have their permission, or they are you; and you do not upload images of children;
  • it does not infringe copyright, trademark, design, privacy, publicity or other rights;
  • it complies with our Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Brand and product images

You may photograph branded clothing you own for your personal wardrobe. Do not upload copyrighted product photos (for example from a shop's website) unless you have the right to use them. Brand names you enter are used only to organise your wardrobe; they do not imply any relationship between SMC and the brand.

6. How we may act on User Content

We may screen, block or remove User Content that fails our safety check, breaks our policies or the law, or is subject to a valid infringement notice. We do not routinely review private wardrobe content manually; manual access is limited to support you request, security investigations or legal requirements, and is logged [confirm logging].

7. Backups and copies

You are responsible for keeping your own copies of photos you care about. You can export your data at any time in Settings → General → Your data.

8. Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
